What we process
- Account data — the display name, email address, password hash and preferred language you provide when you register, plus the identifier returned by Google or Facebook if you sign in with one of those providers.
- Vendor listing data — the business name, description, vendor type, cuisines, dietary tags, contact details, website, social links and images a vendor publishes. Once a listing is approved this data is public by design.
- Schedule and location data — the dates, times and addresses, including coordinates, that a vendor publishes for their stops. Published future entries are public.
- Chat messages — the questions you type into the assistant and the answers it returns, stored so that we can operate the service, apply rate limits and improve it.
- Cookies — a culture cookie that remembers your language, a session cookie needed for the chat assistant and its rate limit, and an authentication cookie once you sign in. All three are strictly necessary; we set no advertising or analytics cookies.
Who we share it with
- OpenAI — messages you send to the chat assistant are transmitted to OpenAI to generate a reply.
- Google — the address field on the vendor schedule uses Google Places Autocomplete, so what you type there is sent to Google to return suggestions. Google Fonts also serves the site's typeface, so your browser requests those font files from Google.
- OpenStreetMap — map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap servers whenever you view a map.
- Hetzner — the application and its database run on Hetzner servers located in Germany.
- Sentry — technical error reports, which can include the requested URL and a stack trace, are sent to Sentry so that we can fix faults.
How long we keep it
Account and listing data are kept for as long as the account exists. Listings that are taken down are deactivated rather than erased, so that past schedule records stay consistent. Chat messages and server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) you may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, ask for your data to be deleted, or object to a particular processing. Write to us and we will answer within a reasonable period. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
